Course description:
This course is for health-care professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of medical and dental settings who want an American Heart Association CPR card. The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers instructor-led course is designed to provide a wide variety of health-care professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Study materials
Prior to the course, participants are encouraged to study the BLS for Healthcare Providers student manual. Participants must purchase their own books through the American Heart Association or bring their previously purchased manual.
Attire:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing or scrubs. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please notify us prior to the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.
Please bring the following items:
- Proof of Identification-Only 1 needed (accepted ID sources are: Drivers License, Passport, Green Card, etc.)
- Proof of previous CPR Card, if applicable
- Receipt of Pre-Payment of CPR Course
- A Self-addressed & stamped envelope for your new CPR card to be sent to you
- Notepad/pen for note taking
- Snack to share - We will provide the drinks and plastic wear.

For 1st time participants of Healthcare Provider CPR:
Initial 8 hour Course + Required AHA Manual
CPR8: Initial Certification 8 hours
For biannual participants of Healthcare Provider CPR:
Renewal 4 hour Course
CPR4: ReCertification 4 hours
