Dr. Gabriela RomeroDr. Gabriela Romero had set very high educational standards for herself since highschool. Her persistence and passion to learn earned her a doctorate degree in dental medicine at Central University of Venezuela. Her hard work in Dental School was recognized by earning the individual status of Valedictorian honorary graduate for the Class of 1998 and being awarded with the Special Graduation Prize 1992-1998. She continued her residency toward a completion in Post-Graduate Specialization in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry (2003). During completion of her residency and thereafter she taught professional dentists and dental students in the department of Operative Dentistry at Central University of Venezuela. Dr. Romero moved to Orlando, Florida in 2003 with her family where she quickly adapted from the Latin culture and language into the American community. She attended additional studies in the US, where she excelled and was awarded with the President's Honor List, 2003, 2004 and the National Dean's List 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2013, she became a Local Anesthesia Certified in the State of Florida, USA. She completed a 3-year clinical Residency Program and a 2-year Master degree in Dental Sciences in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry in 2020.

Her passion to learn allowed her to successfully emerge with the desire and abilities to share her knowledge. Since then, she became a Professor of Dental Sciences and Dental Specialties teaching in didactic lecture courses, laboratory and Clinic in the State of Florida, USA. She taught at Sanford Brown College/Career Education Corporation for almost 3 years where she strived to use her skills and dedication to enable others to realize their potential through education. She taught Dental Anatomy & Morphology, Dental Histology, Microbiology and Infection Control, General and Oral Pathology, Medical Emergencies and Infection Control, Dental Materials, Dental Radiography I and II, Dental Head and Neck Anatomy, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology and Clinical Periodontology. She earned the Educator of the Year Nominee by Career Education Corporation in USA in 2012.

She taught many academic and clinical courses in Dental Sciences and Dental Specialties and helped many dental and dental hygiene students to become Licensed dentists and Licensed dental hygienists for few more years until she felt the call again to pursue a higher degree in Dentistry at the University of Florida, Restorative Division, College of Dentistry. She moved to Gainesville, became Chief Resident of the Master in Dental Sciences with concentration in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry. During 3 consecutive years she attended clinics, saw her own patients, completed simple cases from individual crowns and closure of diastema to complex cases of full prosthetic rehabilitations, multiple veneer cases from premolar to premolar, implants, different type of ceramic veneers, crowns, inlays, and onlays as well as Gold crowns, onlays, and inlays. She was passionate to learn and practice daily the digital dental world of 3D printing, smile design, the whole work flow for CAD/CAM, CEREC, and PLANECA systems, as well as diagnostic and implant treatment planning based in a 3D “In Vivo Software” tomography. She participated in academic instruction and was first chosen to represent her program in Grad Rounds Presentations, succeeded in her weekly Book chapter and Literature Review presentations. She also participated in Clinical and pre-clinical instruction during 3 years in Operative 1, 2, and 3 as well as Florida Mock Boards.  She also developed skills in research studies related to the Effect of teeth whitening treatment on surface roughness, and surface microhardness before and after erosive challenge. 

Dr. Gabriela Romero's skills have been confirmed through comprehensive and integrative series of didactic, laboratory, clinical and seminar courses addressing the disciplines of operative dentistry, esthetic porcelain veneers, esthetic porcelain inlays and onlays fixed prosthodontics, dental implants, complete fixed oral rehabilitation, cast gold restorations, clinical applications of dental anatomy, and occlusion. Secondary skills include non-fixed restorative appliances, which would include partial dentures, full dentures, occlusion night and dayguards.

She is active in professional organizations including being an Honorary Member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society of USA, since 2003 and American Dental Education Association, 2013. She also was a faculty representative for SBI DH Program Advising Board from 2011-2013. She is a member of the International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry (IAAD) 2015, Academy of Osseointegration (AO)2016, and Academy of Operative Dentistry (AOD) 2017-2021. She has relentless desire for life-long learning and is known for the depth of her involvement and instruction.

Dr. Gabriela Romero has received both national and international recognition for NBDE Part II and NBDHE clinical case study publications that she has authored. She has participated in community projects including Orlando Special Olympics, Orlando Head Start Program, Annual Caribbean Health Summit, Florida National Dental Convention and Learning Student Community Services.

Today, Dr. Romero is the CEO of American Board Dental & Hygiene Licensure Prep Courses, Inc. She frequently lectures to national and international professionals through conventions, seminars, and skills assessment workshops. She is the lead professor of academic course instruction, the director of the International Seminar Department, and co-partners in Business Management responsibilities. Her fluency in Spanish, English and Portuguese are true benefits for multi-cultural students we serve.

Away from her office, Dr. Romero enjoys reading, photography, music and dancing. She loves to surround herself with research books related to medicine, dentistry, and especially the Word of God. Together, her husband, her mother and she focus to raise their daughter to love the Lord Jesus Christ and instill the strong moral standards and cultural bonds of both Latin and American cultures. Dr. Gabriela Romero and her family are active members with their church and loves the chance to practices her multiple languages. She looks forward to a time to travel the world and be introduced to the many other cultural experiences.
